Dungeness is only a short drive from Rye and offers an experience to connect with nature and enjoy the best of what the area boasts.
The reserve is set back from the shingle kent beach and boasts wet grassland, gorgeous wildlife meadows and fresh water pits.
Dungeness reserve is the perfect place to visit for nature and bird watching alike. The sky is full of swallows, martins and swifts as they arrive and leave the country - making Dungeness an ideal migration hotspot for many species.
In the spring you will be lucky enough to hear the unique call of the cuckoo and the booming of the bitterns.
In the autumn its the time to keep an eye out for bearded tits in the reedbeds whilst they feed.
Sunsets are phenominal at the reserve, as its tranquil atmosphere and flat open ground gives the perfect setting to watch the sun go down.
